It is free to create a Toothio account. We do charge per location if you choose one of our subscription options.
In the dashboard, you can view the profile picture of the professional as well as their experience. You can view their phone number on the day of the shift. If you have any specific questions about the professional you’re matched with. You can reach out to your dedicated account manager.
We have a 98% fill rate for shifts posted 48 hours and longer in advance. We have an 85% fill rate within 24 hours of a shift being posted.
If you find a temporary professional you love, you have the option to offer them a job without any Toothio placement fees. This means you can try before you commit. After all, anyone can shine for a single day. Our rating system means you can request the same professional for multiple days (or weeks), allowing your practice to assess if they align well with your culture, team, and patients before making a hiring decision. This approach benefits the professional too, as they can evaluate if a practice is the right fit for them. It's a win-win situation!
We have a pay-as-you-go option. If you utilize us for more than 3 or 4 shifts a month we recommend subscribing to a plan making it more cost-effective for your practice.
No service fee, unlimited dental professionals, and 24/7 support from your dedicated Toothio account manager.
After every shift, you rate the experience you had with the Toothio professional. 'Thumbs up' means that you’d like to have them again and they get added to your custom pool of candidates. 'Thumbs down' means that they were not a good fit for your practice and blacklists them from all future shifts posted for your practice. We also have a four-hour guarantee. If you don't like the professional simply send them home.
In your dashboard under the billing tab, you can cancel your subscription. Your subscription is still active until the end date.
In your dashboard under the upcoming shifts tab, click manage on the shift that you would like to cancel. If you cancel a filled shift within 24 hours of the start time, you will be charged 4 hours of the business rate.

We are a full-service staffing tool (Temp and Perm) that handles everything that goes into staffing your practice. We take all of the administrative tasks off your plate so you have more time to focus on your patients and recruit new patients.
Toothio handles all vetting for you. The days of sifting through resumes are over! We interview and screen every candidate before letting them on the platform. Only about 60% make it through the screening process. Alternatively, if you utilize our “working interview” feature and you will see the professional full bio before you book working interviews.
Every practice account has a dedicated Toothio account manager who is your point of contact. We also have a chat box on our website where you can contact us as well.
Yes! To accept shifts with Toothio, we require that you have previous experience in the dental field. There is no training on-site so directly related experience is needed.
Toothio is currently located in these cities: Phoenix, Las Vegas, Austin, Dallas, and Orlando! Don't see your area? Sign up and we'll keep you in the loop when we expand to your city.
All shifts we send your way are within a 30-mile radius of the zip code you provide at sign-up.
We require all Toothio professionals to complete a 15-minute orientation to get started. Review your onboarding checklist on the Toothio app to learn how to schedule an orientation.
To get to 'active' status with Toothio, you must: 1. Upload your payment preference through Stripe2. Upload your certifications and licenses (if applicable)3. Update your availability. If you have done all of these things - you are good to go! Time to wait for the shifts to roll in.
With Toothio, you get paid the same day! We pay you directly through your Stripe account as soon as you clock out. You can reference your payment settings in the Toothio app.
If you make over $600 on the Toothio platform, you will receive a 1099 at the end of the year as an Independent Contractor; taxes are not taken out of your hourly pay. Feel free to utilize our partnership with the tax service Keeper to assist with any tax-related matters.
We provide occupational accidental insurance for all Toothio professionals who are working a shift. If something was to happen on shift you can report this incident to us and we can get a claim filled for you.
We have an algorithm that matches you to practices shifts based on your experience level, certifications, and availability. So instead of being 'selected' for a shift you can choose when and where you would like to work!
Yes, practices can request you through your 'request me' link. This can be found and sent to practices in your Toothio app.
No, here at Toothio we want to add more flexibility to your schedule - not constraint! You are welcome to reject any shift that we send your way for any reason without penalty.
Once you accept a shift with Toothio, the practice is depending on you to be there on that day. We understand that emergencies and schedule changes occur, but we do require advanced notice if a need to cancel arises. Cancellations within 48 hours of your shift can result in penalty deductions from your Toothio account and no-call, no-shows will result in account deactivation.
If a practice cancels a shift that you are scheduled to work within 24 hours of the start time, we will send you 4 hours of pay at that shift’s hourly rate.
You clock in through the Toothio Pro app once you arrive with a code given to the practice. You then can independently keep track of your breaks and clock out through the app as well.
If you are an RDH or Dental Assistant, Black or Dark Blue Scrubs are preferred. If you are taking Front Office shifts, business casual is the standard.
